In the meantime, if this bird is yours and you are looking for it, don't worry, I couldn't afford to leave it outside in this cold weather, so I took it home, bought a cage for it where it's resting now and it has eaten quite a lot of seeds that I also got in the pet shop. So if it's your bird, it's safe, it just seems very quiet, but it'll be fine. A black and white cat was found in Tralee on Friday 2nd Dec. May have been wandering for a while as is painfully thin. She is long-haired and completely blind (which we believe she is used to i.e. not a very recent occurance). Unfortunately she was involved in an accident so it is unknown what injuries are new or old. She is a beautiful girl and obviously used to be a pet as is very friendly.

Friendly black and white pet cat found on Old Kilmainham, Dublin 8, on the evening of Sunday November 13th. Not sure if it is male or female. The cat was crying outside our house and we kept him in overnight. He did a lot of eating and sleeping, so he may have been straying for some time. Ginger,white under belly,male,young,loveable. Just had surgery on his eyes, he is blind now because his eyes are stitched closed. Vet is hopeful that he may only lose sight in one eye. There was nothing wrong with his eyes when we found him ,picked up the infection somewhere along the line.
