lost iphone and problem with insurance claim with CPP

I left my iphone in a taxi on the 18th December 2011 I cancelled sim with meteor on same day and contacted CPP the company that Meteor are advising customers to take out insurance. To this date meteor have not processed the information and forwarded it to CPP and so CPP cannot complete my claim. My advice to others is to seek another company to insure their phones. CPP are an english company and they told me that they have not jurisdication over when it comes to processing claims from meteor customers.
